There has been a lot of buzz lately about the possibility of a Star-Lord movie hitting the big screens. The character played by Chris Pratt in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise has become a fan favorite and many are eager to see him take on a solo adventure.

Additionally, Chris Pratt himself has expressed interest in exploring more of his character’s backstory and personal journey in a standalone film. In an interview with Screen Rant, he said, “I think it would be cool to know more about where [Star-Lord] comes from.”
The Obstacles
While there is clearly interest from those involved with the franchise and fans alike, there are still some obstacles that stand in the way of a Star-Lord movie becoming a reality.
One major factor is Marvel’s already packed schedule for upcoming films. With projects like Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame already set to release in 2019 alone, it may be difficult to find room for yet another film.
